Day 1 |

Arrival at Airport / Railway Station in Thiruvananthapuram - the majestic capital of God's owns country and the most ideal spot to start your Kerala exploration. Check-in to your Hotel, among the best in the city. Relax & brace yourself for the city-hunt. Then, proceed to visit Thiruvananthapuram's noted landmarks like, the marvelous Kanakakkunnu Palace and Napier Museum - a treasure store for historians. View the rare collection of paintings at the nearby Sree Chitra Art Gallery. Enjoy the botanically-rich Zoological Park and the adjoining Zoo (one of the first in the country). Then proceed to experience the city's legacy at the sacred Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple and the interesting monument - Kuthiramalika Palace Museum. Later, return to the Hotel for overnight stay, after a sensational outing.

This morning, leave the city and drive to Ponmudi - a cute hill station. Spend a full day enjoying Ponmudi's grass covered hills and small jungles with rare orchid plants. Have a panoramic view of Agastyakoodam, one of the highest peaks in Kerala. Afterwards, drive back to Thiruvananthapuram. Return to your Hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Now, you will be exploring Thiruvananthapuram's scenic neighborhood. After breakfast, depart the city for Poovar, a superb location. At Poovar, see the wonderful confluence of the sea, river and backwaters - an unexplainable exposure! At nightfall stay at the Resort in Poovar.

This morning, take a drive to Alappuzha - the Venice of the East. On arrival, transfer to your Resort Hotel at Alappuzha. After a reviving break, proceed for sightseeing. Visit the charming Alappuzha Beach and the Sea View Park. See the old monuments at Kumarakodi and Karumadi. Also, take an optional drive to the antique marvel - Krishnapuram Palace. Overnight stay at the Resort Hotel in Alappuzha.

This morning, say bye to the houseboat and backwaters. Take a drive to Kuttikanam, an ideal hill station. At the destination, settle into the comfort of your Resort Hotel. Recharge yourself and set out for expedition. Feast your eyes with the pretty pine forests, gushing silver streams and the colorful seasonal flowers in the hilly area. Watch acres of green meadows and endless carpet of tea plantations... Afterwards, get back to your Resort for overnight stay.

Start today's excursion to the marvelous landscape, Thekkady. On arrival, get into your Resort at Thekkady. Soon, set out to explore the Periyar National Park. Take a boat cruise in the huge Periyar Lake with glimpses of a variety of wild species viz., Sambars, Elephants, Gaurs, Nilgiri Langurs … Later, return to your Resort for overnight stay.

Now, it's your turn to experience Kerala's prestigious hill station, Munnar. Begin the highland expedition with a drive up the Idukki hills. En-route, halt in between and take your time to enjoy the beautiful sceneries. Later, continue to Munnar and check into your Resort Hotel. Spend the rest of the day, strolling around - harmonizing with the new surroundings. Stay overnight at the Resort.

Enjoy a full day in Munnar to discover this marvelous town at your own pace. Start your sightseeing right after a delightful breakfast. First get to know Munnar's prime assets with visits to beauty-spots like, the Echo Point, Hydel project & sceneries at Pallivasal, ravishing reservoir at Malankara and the hilly habitat of endangered 'Nilgiri Tahr' at Rajamalai. Afterwards, a short drive brings you to the nearby Mattupetty Reservoir, a serene spot where you can avail the boating facility. As night falls, return to your Resort for overnight stay.

See the thick coffee plantations and sacred Jain temples at Kalpetta, Enjoy the enchanting Kanthapara Waterfalls and Wayanad's highest peak - Chembra. Afterwards, watch the scenic forests in Mananthavady. Later, return to the Resort and relax with a traditional Ayurveda Massage (on request). Stay overnight at the Resort.

Now, the last reel of your long, in-depth Kerala exploration... The mega-tour concludes at the Green paradise. After ample leisure, say good-bye to your friendly Resort and Wayanad - start the return drive to the Airport / Railway Station. Then depart, with earnest hopes to experience the 'Explore Kerala', once more.

Conditions
The package cost is inclusive of Accommodation for a couple (taxes incl.) with Breakfast (CPAI) and Overnight stay in Houseboat with full meals (APAI). A/c will be provided in the Houseboat from 6 pm to 6 am. Items like Jungle Safari / Ayurveda Massage will be charged extra. Taxi is not included in the Package.
If required, taxi will be arranged.

2. A hike of 25% will be levied in all package’s prices - from Dec 15th 2009 to Jan 15th 2010 only
